Silverstone has a significant bank of volunteers who frequently support their events. They are a crucial element of the team when managing races and so the venue were keen to make it as easy as possible for them to be part of everything going on. So, working with Pentangle an online app was developed.
Pentangle gathered a comprehensive understanding of the information essential to be part of the volunteer team. Using this as a basis they created a user friendly app which could be used by anyone regardless of their technical ability. This enables them to see what events were happening, they can flag when they are available and complete forms and applications online.
As a result of the app, the volunteers are able to take complete ownership of their attendance. From the organisers perspective the tool has enabled them to quickly identify who is available for specific events, then from this be able to easily manage and schedule the team, plus print reports.
